How a dusty patch of Yuma soil grew into a beloved local tradition.
The Peanut Patch began as a humble homestead after World War II, when Gerry and Franny Didier settled on the sandy soils of the Yuma Mesa. After experimenting with crops, Gerry discovered a passion for peanuts, which thrived in the region’s unique climate. In 1977, the couple opened The Peanut Patch, which grew thanks to partnerships with local growers like the Pratts and Honeycutts. Following Gerry’s passing in 1990, the store changed hands but remained rooted in his vision. Today, under the care of the George family since 1997.
The Peanut Patch continues its legacy—offering quality products with a tradition of excellence.
